DeepBook (DEEP) is the utility and governance token of DeepBook, the first native on-chain central limit order book (CLOB) protocol on the Sui blockchain. Built to bring traditional market efficiency to the decentralized ecosystem, DeepBook enables advanced trading functionality, liquidity aggregation, and programmable execution within the Sui Layer 1 environment. DeepBook offers a permissionless CLOB architecture that allows any developer, protocol, or application to integrate order book-based trading directly into their products. Unlike automated market makers (AMMs), which rely on liquidity pools and slippage-based pricing, DeepBook provides deterministic price discovery and matching logic similar to centralized exchanges. The DEEP token serves several key purposes: it powers governance through the DeepDAO, incentivizes liquidity provision and protocol usage, and will be used for future features such as fee discounts and staking. DEEP is designed to be the core coordination asset across the DeepBook ecosystem, enabling users and developers to shape the future of decentralized trading on Sui. As a foundational component of the Sui DeFi stack, DeepBook is optimized for low-latency, high-throughput execution and is compatible with composable smart contracts. It opens new design spaces for trading infrastructure in DeFi, enabling professional-grade order book trading in a fully decentralized, non-custodial environment.
DeepBook is an on-chain central limit order book (CLOB) protocol built on Sui. It enables high-performance, decentralized trading with features similar to traditional exchange order books.
DEEP tokens can be acquired on exchanges like Bybit, Gate.io, KuCoin, XT.com, and Bithumb. Decentralized options include Cetus, a leading DEX on the Sui blockchain.
DEEP is a token on the Sui blockchain and can be stored in Sui-compatible wallets such as Sui Wallet, Suiet, or other wallets that support Sui assets.
DEEP is used for governance via the DeepDAO, incentivizing liquidity, paying for trading fees (in the future), and coordinating ecosystem incentives across the DeepBook protocol.
Unlike AMMs, which use liquidity pools and automated pricing, DeepBook uses a central limit order book model with bid/ask matching, offering better price execution and no slippage.
Yes. DeepBook is fully native to the Sui blockchain and is optimized for its high throughput, composability, and object-centric architecture.
DeepDAO is the decentralized governance body of the DeepBook ecosystem. DEEP token holders will be able to vote on proposals and protocol upgrades.
Yes. DeepBook is designed to be modular and permissionless, allowing developers to integrate its order book functionality into DeFi protocols, wallets, and trading apps.
Yes. The DEEP token is live on the Sui network and tradable on supported centralized and decentralized exchanges, although availability may vary depending on platform support.
DeepBook powers a variety of DEXs on Sui, including Cetus, Kriya DEX, Aftermath Finance, and FlowX. To use DeepBook, connect your wallet to one of these exchanges and select Limit trading before placing your order.
