AB is the native utility and governance token of the AB DAO, powering a modular blockchain ecosystem that includes an EVM-compatible mainnet (AB Core), specialized sidechains (e.g., AB IoT), and a decentralized cross-chain bridge (AB Connect). AB tokens fuel transactions, smart contracts, on-chain governance (AIPs), and real-world asset integrations, while a dedicated philanthropic foundation and ecosystem fund deploy grants to incubate Web3 projects across IoT, gaming, finance, and beyond.
AB is the gas and governance token of the AB DAO. It pays transaction fees, powers smart contracts on AB Core and sidechains, and grants voting rights over AIPs (AB Improvement Proposals) and ecosystem fund allocations.
AB Core is a standard EVM-compatible mainnet (3 s blocks, Berlin spec) for general DeFi and dApp use. AB IoT is a specialized sidechain built on NewChain with secp256r1 keys, optimized for lightweight, high-throughput IoT data and devices.
AB Connect is a trust-minimized, on-chain bridge protocol linking AB Core with AB IoT (and future sidechains). It uses decentralized relayers and REST APIs to move AB tokens securely across chains with configurable fees and limits.
AB token holders submit and vote on AIPs via the on-chain proposal system. Active proposals cover protocol upgrades, parameter changes, sidechain launches, and ecosystem fund disbursements, with stake-weighted voting determining outcomes.
A multi-billion-AB grant pool and philanthropic foundation support grants, hackathons, and partnerships for Web3 projects in IoT, DeFi, AI, and social impact, governed by community-approved disbursement plans.
The 100 B maximum supply is split into 42.25 B for community incentives and 56.57 B for machine node operators vesting linearly over 12 months (Feb 2025–Feb 2026). 1.18 B AB have been permanently burned.
AB launched on Binance Alpha (exclusive early access), and is listed on BingX, HTX, MEXC, 4E, and BitMart. Additional listings are planned as sidechains and use cases expand.
Use the official AB Wallet (MPC-based, gasless, multi-chain), or configure MetaMask with the AB Core RPC. Hardware wallets (Ledger, Trezor) integrate via MetaMask, and AB IoT accounts use the NewChain SDK. For the bridged BSC versions, use Bitcoin.com Wallet, MetaMask, or Trust Wallet.
Developers can build IoT telemetry networks on AB IoT, deploy DeFi and NFT apps on AB Core, bridge real-world asset tokens via AB Connect, and integrate gasless, AI-driven wallet experiences with AB Wallet.
